Project for the academy of arts, model of the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion
Scale model made as a conclusion to the research on the pavilion of 2006. This years pavilion was designed by the famous architects Rem Koolhaas and Cecil Balmond.
The Serpentine Gallery is situated in Kensington Gardens. It was established in 1970 and showcases emerging and established contemporary art and architecture. Each year the Gardens welcome a pavilion, in extension of the gallery, which is designed by the most famous architects of the world.
In 2006 these architects were Rem Koolhaas and Cecil Balmond. By creating this pavilion they wanted it to be more than just an exhebition space. They designed a surrounding where visitors could converse and exchange experiences.
